Chairwoman’s Address
Dear WISTA Members and Friends,
It is with great pleasure and honor that, on behalf of the WISTA Cyprus Executive Committee and Members, I welcome the 34th WISTA International AGM & Conference in Limassol, Cyprus with the theme: Shipping Connects. The first Conference took place in Hamburg in 1981 and since then the WISTA community has grown substantially through the promotion of networking and connecting with other organizations worldwide, exchange of professional experiences and learning opportunities. Please do make a note in your calendar for this event that no one can afford to miss out: an event, which will be a great opportunity for connecting people, organisations, nations, generations, genders, distances and cultures! We will be waiting for you in order to learn and gain from each other and we are sure that with your participation the WISTA International AGM & Conference 2014 will be a great success. I hope that your stay in Cyprus will not only be professionally fruitful and rewarding, but also an excellent opportunity to see the history and culture of our island, and why not enjoy a little holiday as well!
